To assist in the coordination of California’s outreach and communication strategy for the 2020 Census, the California Complete Count – Census 2020 Office is actively looking for additional team members. The U.S. Census Bureau is also looking to hire individuals to canvas and enumerate for the 2020 Census. These jobs are separate and apart from the California Complete Count – Census 2020 Office.

California Complete Count Office Technician (T) – Los Angeles

Under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Outreach, the Office Technician performs a wide-variety of administrative assignments and support to the California Complete Count-Census 2020 (Census). The position interacts professionally and accurately with Governor’s Office (GO) staff, State Officials, Agency and Department staff, constituents and the general public.  You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.

California Complete Count Office Technician (T) – Sacramento

Under the supervision of the Chief Deputy Director, the Office Technician (Typing) performs a wide-variety of administrative assignments and support to the California Complete Count-Census 2020 (Census). The position interacts professionally and accurately with Governor’s Office (GO) staff, State Officials, Agency and Department staff, constituents and the general public. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.

California Complete Count Committee Liaison and Office Manager – Sacramento

The California Complete Count Committee Liaison and Office Manager works from Sacramento and is responsible for direct administrative support to the Governor-appointed California Complete Count Committee (CCCC). The Liaison and Office Manager coordinates quarterly meetings and monthly working group conference calls and develops agendas and minutes. The Liaison and Office Manager is responsible for ensuring all meetings and calls are in compliance with the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act requirements. The incumbent will serve as the liaison between the Committee members and the California Complete Count Director to support effective communication. The position also provides support to the Complete Count Office and serves as lead for student assistants and interns.

Regional Program Manager – Fresno

The Regional Program Manager (RPM) works from Fresno and is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the California Complete Count office regional outreach activities. The position is a fast-paced, outcomes-driven, and requires frequent interaction with top-level management, community leaders, and government officials to facilitate a complete and accurate 2020 Census count of California. Extensive travel may be required. The RPM interacts directly on the ground with local and regional partners within their assigned geographic region. This position will oversee a region outreach effort, ensure all regional partners contribute to the Statewide Outreach and Rapid Development (SwORD) interactive mapping site, and work with regional partners to meet contractual obligations and spends a majority of time doing field work. This position also requires time in the office reviewing, analyzing and providing verbal and written input and reports on deliverables directly related to the RPM’s work.
