Tribal Affairs Specialist
Working under the direction of the Deputy Director of State-wide Outreach, the Tribal Affairs Specialist will oversee the development of a comprehensive strategy to reach tribal communities at a local, regional and statewide level to participate in the 2020 census. This will require working with tribal governments, media and outreach partners. This position will oversee a Tribal outreach and communications effort to engage tribal communities on the Census and ensure their participation. This position also requires time in the office reviewing, analyzing and providing verbal and written input and reports on deliverables directly related to outreach work. Language Access Manager
Working under the direction of the Deputy Director of Statewide Initiatives, the Language Access Manager interacts and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, including contracting partners, across the State of California to ensure that language access and communications needs are being addressed and executed through every stage of the initiative. This position requires time in the office, as well as time in the field overseeing, reviewing, analyzing and providing verbal and written input and reports on deliverables directly related to the Language and Communication Access Plan. Program Evaluator and Data Statistician
Working under the direction of the Data and GIS Mapping Manager, the Program Evaluator and Data Statistician supports all Census programs to evaluate and ensure maximum outreach efforts for a full Census 2020 count, statistical analysis of incoming data, and measurement of the CCC's rapid deployment efforts. This position supports Census specific data management for the California Complete Count Census 2020 Statewide Outreach and Rapid Deployment platform (SwORD). SwORD serves as the backbone of the Office’s efforts to increase census participation by enabling the rapid sharing of information between the State and its many local government and strategic partners. The platform will support collaboration and coordination on outreach in order to address coordination and gaps. It will be the State’s primary database for a wide range of resources and assets, including mapped data, and will house key Hard-to-Count (HTC) data. The Program Evaluator and Data Statistician will evaluate SwORD data to determine baseline measures, develop projections for program monitoring, and establish metrics and success criteria. This position will work with all CCC outreach and statewide staff and partners to ensure that data is comprehensive and supports accurate and dependable decision-making for Census outreach planning and resource allocation. During deployment period in 2020, SwORD will support real-time outreach activities and this position will regularly monitor data, evaluate self-response rates, and generate reports that will help guide outreach activities for a complete count.You will find additional information about the job in the Program Evaluator and Data Statistician (PDF).
California Complete Count Regional Program Manager (RPM) - Central Coast
Working under the direction of the Deputy Director of Outreach and the Lead Regional Program Manager – Central California, the Regional Program Manager (RPM), Outreach interacts directly on the ground with local and regional partners within their assigned geographic region. This position will oversee a region outreach effort, ensure all regional partners contribute to the Statewide Outreach and Rapid Development (SwORD) interactive mapping site, and work with regional partners to meet contractual obligations and spends a majority of time doing field work. This position also requires time in the office reviewing, analyzing and providing verbal and written input and reports on deliverables directly related to the RPM’s work.
